VALID 00Z FRI 14 MAR 2025 - 00Z FRI 21 MAR 2025

WINDY TRADES ARE LIKELY TO PERSIST THROUGH THURSDAY WITH A STRONG
SURFACE HIGH TO THE NORTH. SOME MOISTURE IN PLACE WILL PRODUCE
SHOWERS FAVORING WINDWARD AND MAUKA AREAS, WITH SOME SPILLING INTO
LEEWARD AREAS. BY LATE WEEK THOUGH, THE SURFACE HIGH SHOULD
WEAKEN AND DRIFT SOUTHEASTWARD, ALLOWING FOR WINDS TO GRADUALLY
LESSEN TO MORE MODERATE LEVELS BY SATURDAY. WINDS MAY RAISE
SOMEWHAT TO MORE BREEZY LEVELS INTO NEXT WEEK. MEANWHILE, AN UPPER
TROUGH AXIS IS FORECAST TO APPROACH FROM THE WEST WITH SOME
LOWERING HEIGHTS OVER HAWAII. THIS PLUS A FRONT STALLING TO THE
WEST WILL DRAW HIGHER MOISTURE NORTHWARD ACROSS THE STATE AS MEAN
FLOW TURNS SOUTHEASTERLY. THUS MORE SHOWER COVERAGE AND HIGHER
RAIN TOTALS ARE LIKELY OVER THE WEEKEND INTO EARLY NEXT WEEK FOR
ALL ISLANDS, BUT THERE COULD BE A PARTICULAR FOCUS OVER THE
WESTERN ISLANDS THAT ARE CLOSER TO THE FRONT. MORE TYPICAL TRADE
WINDS MAY RETURN AROUND MIDWEEK WHILE MOISTURE LEVELS GRADUALLY
FALL AS THE TROUGH PULLS AWAY.
