HAWAII EXTENDED FORECAST DISCUSSION
NWS WEATHER PREDICTION CENTER COLLEGE PARK MD
356 AM EST THU NOV 27 2025

VALID 00Z FRI 28 NOV 2025 - 00Z FRI 05 DEC 2025

GUIDANCE CONTINUES TO DEPICT A PAIR OF RELATIVELY STRONG FRONTS
TRAILING SOUTH FROM CYCLONES IN THE MID-LATITUDES TO APPROACH OR
REACH THE NORTHWESTERN ISLANDS DURING THE FORECAST PERIOD. THE
FIRST FRONT SHOULD MAKE ITS CLOSEST APPROACH THIS WEEKEND BUT WITH
ITS BEST FORCING REMAINING OVER THE OFFSHORE WATERS. A SECOND
FRONT APPEARS TO APPROACH THE REGION BY MIDWEEK NEXT WEEK, AND
POSSIBLY STALL JUST TO THE WEST OF THE MAIN ISLANDS OF HAWAII
LATE NEXT WEEK WITH AN EARLY SIGN OF A KONA LOW FORMING FARTHER TO
THE NORTHWEST. NO AREAS OF SIGNIFICANT RAINFALL, OTHER THAN THE
TYPICAL TRADE WIND RELATED SHOWERS, ARE EXPECTED OVER THE NEXT 7
DAYS.
