..AREA RIVER FORECAST POINTS ARE BELOW FLOOD STAGE THIS MORNING
 
 
PORTIONS OF THE CENTRAL SAVANNAH RIVER AREA RECEIVED RAINFALL  
AMOUNTS GENERALLY LESS THAN ONE INCH DURING THE PAST 24 HOURS.  
MOST OF THE REMAINING AREA HAD NO RAIN. DRIER AIR WITH LIMITED  
SHOWER ACTIVITY IS EXPECTED THROUGH TONIGHT. THE APPROACH OF A  
COLD FRONT FROM THE NORTHWEST COMBINED WITH INCREASING ATMOSPHERIC  
MOISTURE WILL FAVOR A GRADUAL INCREASE IN SHOWER ACTIVITY ON  
WEDNESDAY. NUMEROUS SHOWERS WITH POSSIBLE THUNDERSTORMS ARE  
EXPECTED ON THURSDAY.  
 
AREA RIVERS WILL HAVE MINOR STAGE FLUCTUATIONS OR RISES THROUGH  
THE END OF THE WEEK. NO FLOODING PROBLEMS ARE EXPECTED FOR  
CENTRAL SOUTH CAROLINA OR EAST-CENTRAL GEORGIA.
