THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF NORTHEAST
MINNESOTA AND NORTHWEST WISCONSIN.

DAY ONE

TONIGHT

A FLOOD ADVISORY IS IN EFFECT FOR AREAS OF SOUTHERN CASS COUNTY
IN NORTHEAST MINNESOTA DUE TO FLOODING REPORTED OVER CASS COUNTY
ROAD 30 NEAR STATE HIGHWAY 64 SOUTH OF LEADER ALONG IRON CREEK.
ADDITIONAL SNOWMELT WILL KEEP WATER LEVELS HIGH. A COLD FRONT WILL
MOVE INTO NORTHERN MINNESOTA TONIGHT. A MIX OF DRIZZLE AND
FREEZING DRIZZLE IS POSSIBLE, WHICH MAY CREATE A THIN GLAZE OF ICE
ON UNTREATED SURFACES. THIS IS MOST LIKELY FROM LAKE SUPERIOR
WEST-SOUTHWEST TO THE BRAINERD LAKES AREA.

DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN

SUNDAY THROUGH FRIDAY

THE COLD FRONT WILL MOVE THROUGH THE REMAINDER OF THE FORECAST
AREA, AND INTO CENTRAL MINNESOTA. DRIZZLE, FREEZING DRIZZLE, AND
SNOW ARE POSSIBLE SUNDAY MORNING.

REGIONAL SNOWMELT CONTINUES AS HIGH TEMPERATURES RISE ABOVE
FREEZING THROUGH NEXT WEEK LEADING TO RISING RIVER LEVELS. THE
LATEST RIVER STAGE FORECASTS INDICATE GENERALLY RISING TRENDS IN
THE RIVER LEVELS, WITH THE FT. RIPLEY FORECAST POINT ALONG THE
MISSISSIPPI RIVER APPROACHING THE MINOR FLOOD LEVEL MID TO LATE
NEXT WEEK. IN ADDITION, WITH ICE STILL ON MANY RIVERS THERE IS A
RISK FOR ICE JAM FLOODING ALONG MOST RIVERS THROUGH THE NEXT
WEEK.
THERE IS A CHANCE FOR PRECIPITATION MID TO LATE WEEK AS WELL,
WHICH COULD CONTRIBUTE TO ADDITIONAL WATER RISES.

SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT

SKYWARN SPOTTER ACTIVATION WILL NOT BE NEEDED TONIGHT.
