TODAY AND TONIGHT.  
   
..THUNDERSTORM IMPACT
 
 
ABUNDANT MOISTURE COMBINED WITH DAYTIME HEATING WILL ALLOW SCATTERED  
TO NUMEROUS SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS TO DEVELOP ACROSS THE REGION  
TODAY...ALONG THE SEA BREEZE MAINLY DURING THE AFTERNOON AND EARLY  
EVENING HOURS. STORMS THAT DEVELOP TODAY WILL MOVE SLOWLY INLAND  
WITH THE GREATEST AREAL COVERAGE AND INTENSITY OF STORMS EXPECTED  
ALONG AND TO THE EAST OF I 75 CORRIDOR DURING MID TO LATE AFTERNOON.  
SLOW MOVING STORMS WILL SUPPORT LOCALLY HEAVY RAINS WHICH MAY PRODUCE  
MINOR FLOODING OF LOW LYING AND POOR DRAINAGE AREAS AS WELL AS THE  
PONDING OF WATER ON ROADWAYS. IN ADDITION TO THE RAIN STRONG GUSTY  
WINDS...FREQUENT LIGHTNING STRIKES AND SOME SMALL HAIL WILL ACCOMPANY  
THE STORMS. REMEMBER IF YOU OBSERVE LIGHTNING OR HEAR THUNDER...MOVE  
INDOORS IMMEDIATELY.

A WEAK STEERING FLOW WILL SUPPORT SLOW MOVING THUNDERSTORMS TODAY  
AND ANY STORM WILL HAVE THE POTENTIAL TO PRODUCE VERY HEAVY RAINFALL  
AMOUNTS OVER A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME. THE HEAVY RAINS WILL CAUSE  
MINOR FLOODING OF LOW LYING AND POOR DRAINAGE AREAS...AS WELL AS  
THE PONDING OF WATER ON ROADWAYS...SO MOTORISTS ARE URGED TO
