WEATHER SUMMARY FOR UPPER MISSISSIPPI RIVER VALLEY
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE LA CROSSE WI
830 PM CDT WED JUL 18 2018

AFTER A DAY FILLED WITH PLENTY OF SUNSHINE AND COMFORTABLE
TEMPERATURES IN THE 70S AND LOWER 80S, SOME CLOUDS FILTERED INTO THE
REGION DURING THE EVENING HOURS. TEMPERATURES GRADUALLY DIPPED BACK
THROUGH THE 60S IN MANY AREAS, WITH LIGHT WINDS PREVAILING.

THROUGH THE OVERNIGHT HOURS, LOOK FOR CLOUDS TO CONTINUE THICKENING,
AS SLOW MOVING LOW PRESSURE TAKES SHAPE OVER THE DAKOTAS. THAT
FEATURE WILL MEANDER THROUGH THE REGION AS WE WRAP UP THE WORK WEEK,
BRINGING WITH IT PERIODS OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS, AS WELL AS
CONTINUED COOLER TEMPERATURES THANKS TO PLENTY OF CLOUDS. EXPECT
AFTERNOON HIGHS MAINLY IN THE 70S BOTH THURSDAY AND FRIDAY, WITH
READINGS SLOWLY MODERATING THROUGH THE COMING WEEKEND AS CLOUDS ARE
SLOW TO CLEAR.
