WEATHER SUMMARY FOR EASTERN NEBRASKA AND SOUTHWEST IOWA

AN AREA OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS OVER CENTRAL NEBRASKA GRADUALLY  
WORKED EAST INTO NORTHEAST NEBRASKA DURING THE EVENING. MORE SHOWERS  
AND STORMS WERE BEGINNING TO MOVE INTO THE REST OF EASTERN NEBRASKA  
AS OF 11 PM. STRONG SOUTH WINDS OF 15 TO 25 MPH WITH SOME GUSTS OVER  
35 MPH WERE NOTED IN SOUTHEAST NEBRASKA AND SOUTHWEST IOWA AS WELL.  
TEMPERATURES AT LATE EVENING WERE IN THE 50S WHERE THUNDERSTORMS WERE  
SEEN IN NORTHEAST NEBRASKA, WHILE THE REST OF EASTERN NEBRASKA AND  
SOUTHWEST IOWA WERE IN THE 60S OR LOWER 70S.  
 
THE LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM RESPONSIBLE FOR THE THUNDERSTORMS DURING THE  
EVENING WILL GRADUALLY MOVE FROM EASTERN COLORADO INTO NORTHERN  
OKLAHOMA BY FRIDAY AFTERNOON. A WARM FRONT EXTENDING NORTHEAST OF THE  
LOW INTO EASTERN NEBRASKA AND NORTHERN IOWA WILL CONTINUE TO BE A  
FOCUS FOR SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS THROUGH FRIDAY AFTERNOON. MORE  
STORMS ARE POSSIBLE AHEAD OF THE LOW FROM OKLAHOMA INTO EASTERN  
KANSAS AND MISSOURI FROM AROUND SUNRISE THROUGH FRIDAY AFTERNOON.  
 
OUTSIDE OF ANY OF THE THUNDERSTORM AREAS, SKIES WILL BE MOSTLY  
CLOUDY. AND A WIDE RANGE OF TEMPERATURES ARE FORECAST, TOO. LOWS  
FRIDAY MORNING WILL DROP INTO THE 30S IN NORTHWEST NEBRASKA, BUT HOLD  
IN THE 60S IN MISSOURI AND EASTERN KANSAS. HIGHS FRIDAY AFTERNOON  
SHOULD ONLY BE IN THE 40S FROM NORTHERN NEBRASKA AND NORTHERN IOWA,  
BUT CLIMB INTO THE 70S FROM SOUTHEAST NEBRASKA AND SOUTHERN IOWA INTO  
KANSAS AND MISSOURI.
