REGIONAL WEATHER SUMMARY FOR THE HIGH PLAINS  
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE GOODLAND KS

MOSTLY CLOUDY TO CLOUDY SKIES PREVAILED THROUGH THE DAY. A FEW  
RAIN SHOWERS OVER THE EASTERN PORTION OF THE AREA AT THE BEGINNING  
DAY ENDED BY MID MORNING. THEN DURING THE EARLY AND MID AFTERNOON  
HOURS SCATTERED SHOWERS AND A FEW THUNDERSTORMS MOVED INTO THE  
WESTERN PORTION OF THE REGION. WINDS WERE NORTH TO NORTHEAST AT 10  
TO 20 MPH THROUGH MOST OF THE DAY. AFTERNOON TEMPERATURES WERE IN  
THE 50S TO LOWER 60S.  
 
OUTLOOK... SCATTERED TO NUMEROUS SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL  
MOVE ACROSS THE WESTERN PORTION OF THE AREA DURING THE EVENING AND  
EARLY MORNING HOURS. AFTER MIDNIGHT A FEW LOCATIONS IN EASTERN  
COLORADO MAY SEE THE RAIN MIX WITH THE SNOW. THE BEST CHANCE FOR  
PRECIPITATION WILL BE ALONG AND WEST OF THE COLORADO BORDER. LOW  
TEMPERATURES WILL BE IN THE LOWER TO MIDDLE 30S WHICH IS NEAR TO  
SLIGHTLY BELOW NORMAL.  
 
DRY CONDITIONS AND MOSTLY SUNNY SKIES ARE EXPECTED ON WEDNESDAY.  
HIGH TEMPERATURES WILL BE IN THE MIDDLE TO UPPER 50S WHICH IS 5 TO  
10 DEGREES BELOW NORMAL. INCREASING CHANCES FOR PRECIPITATION AND  
BELOW NORMAL TEMPERATURES ARE EXPECTED FROM THURSDAY INTO THE  
WEEKEND. THERE WILL BE A CHANCE FOR ACCUMULATING SNOW LATE THIS
