FLOOD WARNING FOR THE FOLLOWING RIVERS IN MISSOURI...  
 
ST. FRANCIS RIVER NEAR PATTERSON AFFECTING WAYNE COUNTY  
 
.HEAVY RAINFALL THAT FELL THE PAST SEVERAL DAYS HAS CAUSED RIVER  
LEVELS TO RISE ALONG AND UPSTREAM OF THE ST. FRANCIS RIVER BASIN.  
 
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...  
 
SAFETY MESSAGE...  
 
NEVER DRIVE CARS...TRUCKS OR SPORT UTILITY VEHICLES THROUGH FLOODED  
AREAS. THE WATER MAY BE TOO DEEP TO ALLOW SAFE PASSAGE. NEVER ALLOW  
CHILDREN TO PLAY IN OR NEAR FLOOD WATERS. STAY TUNED TO NOAA WEATHER

* UNTIL SATURDAY MORNING.  
* AT 6:00 AM FRIDAY THE STAGE WAS 14.5 FEET.  
* FLOOD STAGE IS 16.0 FEET.  
* MINOR FLOODING IS FORECAST.  
* FORECAST...RISE ABOVE FLOOD STAGE BY LATE THIS MORNING AND CONTINUE  
TO RISE TO NEAR 18.0 FEET BY THIS EVENING. THE RIVER WILL FALL  
BELOW FLOOD STAGE BY EARLY TOMORROW.  
* IMPACT...AT 16.0 FEET...MINOR FLOODING OCCURS AFFECTING MAINLY  
BOTTOMLAND AND SURROUNDING LOW LYING AREAS.
