WEATHER SUMMARY FOR THE MIDSOUTH
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MEMPHIS TN
433 PM CST MON MAR 2 2015

CLOUDY... COOL.. MOIST CONDITIONS WILL CONTINUE THROUGHOUT THE
MIDSOUTH THIS EVENING. TEMPERATURES AS WELL AS RAIN CHANCES WILL
INCREASE OVERNIGHT AS A WARM FROM PUSHES FROM SOUTH TO NORTH
THROUGH THE AREA. TEMPERATURES TOMORROW WILL BE VERY SPRING LIKE
RANGING FROM THE LOW 70S IN NORTH MISSISSIPPI TO THE MID 50S IN
NORTHEAST ARKANSAS. THIS WARM UP WILL BE SHORT LIVED DUE TO AN
ARCTIC COLD FRONT PUSHING THROUGH THE MIDSOUTH WEDNESDAY NIGHT.

A WINTER STORM IS EXPECTED ON WEDNESDAY AS THE COLD FRONT BRINGS
COLD AIR AND INCREASED PRECIPITATION CHANCES WITH IT.
PRECIPITATION WILL START OUT AS RAIN BEFORE SWITCHING TO FREEZING
RAIN, SLEET, AND SNOW IN SOME LOCATIONS AS THE DAY PROGRESSES AND
COLDER AIR ARRIVES. WE COULD SEE RECORD COLD TEMPERATURES ON
THURSDAY AND THURSDAY NIGHT FOR ALL OF THE MIDSOUTH. SOME MELTING
OF THE WINTRY PRECIPITATION WILL NOT OCCUR UNTIL FRIDAY AS SOME
LOCATIONS GET SLIGHTLY ABOVE FREEZING. TEMPERATURES WILL BEGIN TO
REBOUND ON SATURDAY AND SHOULD BE BACK NEAR NORMAL BY EARLY NEXT
WEEK.
