DISCUSSION

HIGH PRESSURE WAS OVER THE GREAT LAKES THIS MORNING.
A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WAS HEADING EAST ACROSS SOUTHERN CANADA...
AND ITS COOL FRONT EXTENDED ACROSS NORTH DAKOTA INTO THE NORTHERN
ROCKIES. THESE FEATURES WILL GRADUALLY MOVE EAST THROUGH TOMORROW
...WITH THE COOL FRONT SINKING SOUTH AS WELL. THIS FRONT WILL
CROSS THE AREA TOMORROW.

TODAY WILL BE THE HOTTEST OF THE NEXT TWO DAYS. AS IS TYPICAL...
THE HOTTEST AREAS WILL HAVE THE HIGHEST MIXING HEIGHTS AND LOWEST
RH VALUES. SOUTH WINDS WILL GUST UP TO 30 MPH.

SOME THUNDERSTORMS WILL MOVE THROUGH PARTS OF THE AREA TONIGHT
AND COULD SHIFT WINDS TO NW. SOME GUSTS OF 50-60 MPH COULD OCCUR
IN A FEW SPOTS...MAINLY NORTH AND WEST OF GRAND ISLAND.

AS THE FRONT SLIPS THROUGH TOMORROW...WINDS WILL SHIFT TO THE NE.
MIXING HEIGHTS ARE MORE UNCERTAIN BECAUSE THEY WILL DEPEND ON
HOW MUCH CLOUD COVER REMAINS BEHIND ANY OVERNIGHT STORMS THAT
OCCUR...ALONG WITH HOW MUCH RAIN FALLS. THEY ARE GENERALLY
EXPECTED TO BE LOWER THAN TODAY. RH LEVELS COULD BE HIGH OVER
SOUTH CENTRAL NEBRASKA...ESPECIALLY IF WIDESPREAD RAIN FALLS.
