HIGH PRESSURE MOVES OVER THE REGION THIS MORNING AND MOVES  
OFFSHORE THIS AFTERNOON. THE HIGH WILL CONTINUE MOVING FARTHER  
OFFSHORE TONIGHT AND TUESDAY. MEANWHILE A COLD FRONT WILL BE  
APPROACHING FROM THE WEST TUESDAY INTO TUESDAY NIGHT. THE FRONT  
WILL MOVE ACROSS ON WEDNESDAY.  
 
MOSTLY SUNNY DAY EXPECTED OVERALL FOR MOST LOCATIONS. FOR THIS  
AFTERNOON, SKIES FOR THE PARTIAL SOLAR ECLIPSE COULD HAVE SOME  
CLOUDS FROM CUMULUS DEVELOPING ALONG THE SEA BREEZE AS WELL AS  
CIRRUS OVERHEAD.  
 
THE HUMIDITY MAKES A RETURN TONIGHT INTO TUESDAY. HIGHS TODAY  
WILL MOSTLY BE IN THE MID TO UPPER 80S BUT FOR TUESDAY MORE  
LOCATIONS WILL BE IN THE UPPER 80S TO LOWER 90S WITH HEAT INDICES  
IN THE MID 90S TO NEAR 100. EVEN FOR SOUTHEAST CONNECTICUT AND  
EASTERN LONG ISLAND WHERE HIGHS TUESDAY WILL BE IN THE LOW TO MID  
80S, HEAT INDICES THERE WILL BE IN THE UPPER 80S TO LOWER 90S.  
 
MAINLY DRY CONDITIONS ARE FORECAST THROUGH TUESDAY OUTSIDE OF  
ISOLATED TO WIDELY SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS, WHICH WILL  
BE MOSTLY TONIGHT AND TUESDAY. HIGHER CHANCES OF SHOWERS AND  
THUNDERSTORMS ARE FORECAST TUESDAY NIGHT INTO EARLY WEDNESDAY.
