SO FAR THIS MONTH PITTSBURGH HAS RECEIVED JUST 0.48 INCHES OF  
PRECIPITATION. THERE IS NO RAIN IN THE FORECAST FOR THE REST OF THE  
MONTH, SO THIS COULD BE THE 2ND DRIEST SEPTEMBER ON RECORD. THE  
DRIEST SEPTEMBER WAS IN 1985 WITH 0.28 INCHES.  
 
WHEN ALL MONTHS OF THE YEAR ARE TAKEN INTO ACCOUNT, THERE HAVE  
BEEN 20 MONTHS THAT WERE DRIER THAN SEPTEMBER 2014. THE DRIEST  
WAS 0.06 INCHES IN OCTOBER 1874.
