NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE SAN ANGELO TX

A LARGE AREA OF SHOWERS WITH MODERATE TO HEAVY RAIN WAS LOCATED OVER  
PARTS OF SOUTH AND EAST TEXAS. THUNDERSTORMS WERE OCCURRING ALONG  
PARTS OF THE CENTRAL AND SOUTH TEXAS COAST. ELSEWHERE, SCATTERED  
SHOWERS AND ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS WERE OCCURRING IN PARTS OF NORTH  
TEXAS. A FEW LIGHT RAIN SHOWERS WERE OCCURRING IN EASTERN PARTS OF  
OUR AREA. SKIES WERE SUNNY OVER FAR WEST TEXAS FROM FORT STOCKTON TO  
EL PASO, AND MOSTLY CLOUDY OVER THE REST OF THE STATE.  
 
FOR OUR AREA, THERE IS A SLIGHT CHANCE OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS  
TODAY AND TONIGHT. A RETURN TO WELL-ABOVE NORMAL TEMPERATURES AND  
TRIPLE DIGIT HEAT IS EXPECTED FRIDAY THROUGH THE WEEKEND, WHEN AN  
UPPER LEVEL HIGH PRESSURE SYSTEM IS FORECAST TO BUILD INTO OUR AREA  
FROM THE WEST.
