THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTH AND CENTRAL TEXAS.

DAY ONE

TODAY AND TONIGHT.

NO HAZARDOUS WEATHER IS EXPECTED AT THIS TIME.

DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN

FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY.

THERE IS A CHANCE FOR THUNDERSTORMS LATE THURSDAY NIGHT ALONG AND
WEST OF A JACKSBORO TO LAMPASAS LINE, THEN ACROSS THE ENTIRE AREA BY
FRIDAY AFTERNOON. THE PRIMARY HAZARD WILL BE CLOUD-TO-GROUND
LIGHTNING STRIKES FOR THE LATE NIGHT AND MORNING HOURS. HOWEVER, A
FEW STRONG STORMS WITH GUSTY WINDS, SMALL HAIL, AND FREQUENT
LIGHTNING ARE POSSIBLE LATER FRIDAY AFTERNOON AS THE ATMOSPHERE
DESTABILIZES. STORM CHANCES WILL LIKELY DIMINISH BY NIGHTFALL WITH
THE LOSS OF HEATING AND AN EXITING UPPER DISTURBANCE.

THUNDERSTORM CHANCES WILL RETURN ACROSS THE AREA, ESPECIALLY EAST OF
I-35 SATURDAY AFTERNOON, WITH A FEW STRONG TO SEVERE STORMS POSSIBLE.
STRONG TO SEVERE STORMS WILL BECOME MORE NUMEROUS JUST AHEAD AND
ALONG A STRONG COLD FRONT SATURDAY NIGHT THROUGH EARLY SUNDAY
MORNING. THOUGH A BRIEF TORNADO OR TWO CANNOT BE RULED OUT EARLY IN
THE EVENT WITH ANY DISCRETE SEVERE STORMS, THE MAIN SEVERE WEATHER
HAZARDS ARE EXPECTED TO BE DAMAGING WINDS AND LARGE HAIL. BRIEF
FLOODING OF LOW-LYING AREAS OR STREET FLOODING ARE ALSO POSSIBLE
LATER SATURDAY NIGHT AND EARLY SUNDAY WITH BURSTS OF HEAVIER
RAINFALL. HOWEVER, WIDESPREAD SIGNIFICANT FLOODING IS NOT EXPECTED
DUE TO THE PROGRESSIVE NATURE OF THE COLD FRONT AND STORMS ALONG AND
AHEAD OF IT.

SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT

SPOTTER ACTIVATION IS NOT EXPECTED AT THIS TIME.
