AT 530 AM MST...HIGH RESOLUTION SATELLITE AND SURFACE OBSERVATIONS
WERE SHOWING AREAS OF DEVELOPING FOG ACROSS THE LOWLANDS OF FAR
WEST TEXAS AND SOUTHERN NEW MEXICO. YESTERDAY'S RAIN LEFT BEHIND
WET GROUND AND LOW-LEVEL MOISTURE. THIS MORNING'S COLD
TEMPERATURES AND LIGHT WINDS ARE CAUSING THIS MOISTURE TO
CONDENSE INTO PATCHY FOG ACROSS THE REGION. SOME AREAS WILL SEE
SIGNIFICANT REDUCTIONS IN VISIBILITY DUE TO THIS FOG. VISIBILITIES
BETWEEN 1/2 A MILE AND 1 MILE IS POSSIBLE. THE MORNING COMMUTE,
AND TRAVEL ACROSS THE REGION, MAY BE IMPACTED. IF YOU SEE FOG,
SLOW DOWN, KEEP YOUR HEADLIGHTS ON LOW BEAM, TAP YOUR BRAKES
PERIODICALLY. IF IT BECOMES TOO DANGEROUS TO SAFELY CONTINUE PULL
WELL OFF THE ROAD, TURN OFF YOUR LIGHTS, AND KEEP YOUR FOOT OFF
THE BRAKES. ANY FOG THAT DEVELOPS SHOULD BURN AWAY BY 9 AM.
