DISCUSSION

HIGH PRESSURE IN PLACE OVER THE AREA THIS MORNING
WILL WEAKEN DURING THE MID-AFTERNOON HOURS AS A WEAK DISTURBANCE
APPROACHES THE AREA. AS THE RIDGE BREAKS DOWN, EXPECT RELATIVE
HUMIDITIES TO BE A BIT HIGHER TODAY, ALBEIT JUST SLIGHTLY.
SOUTHWESTERLY FLOW WILL ALSO PICK UP A BIT, AND AS A RESULT,
MIXING WILL BE SOMEWHAT IMPROVED. THE IMPROVED MIXING MIGHT NOT BE
REALIZED UNTIL THE SECOND HALF OF THE AFTERNOON, HOWEVER, AS THE
RIDGE AXIS WILL NOT SHIFT EAST OF THE BURN SITE UNTIL AFTER
1200-1300.

WINDS WILL RELAX AGAIN TOMORROW SO CLEARING INDEX WILL LOWER
AGAIN. THURSDAY SHOULD ONCE AGAIN SEE SOMEWHAT IMPROVED MIXING
AS SOUTHWESTERLY WINDS INCREASE AGAIN AHEAD OF THE NEXT STORM
SYSTEM. THIS STORM WILL PUSH A COLD FRONT THROUGH THE BURN SITE
FRIDAY AFTERNOON. A QUICK SHOT OF RAIN CHANGING OVER TO SNOW IS
EXPECTED WITH THE FRONT, BUT PRECIPITATION WILL NOT BE
SIGNIFICANT. HIGH PRESSURE WILL BUILD BACK INTO THE AREA FOR THE
EARLY PART OF NEXT WEEK.
