...THE FLOOD WARNING FOR SNOWMELT WILL EXPIRE AT 330 PM MDT FOR
NORTHEASTERN CACHE COUNTY...

THE LOGAN HAS DROPPED BELOW FLOOD STAGE, BEGINNING A SLOW DECLINE
BACK TO BASE FLOW AROUND LATE JUNE.

THE DECLINE IS A RESULT OF LIMITED SNOW FUELING THE FLOOD FLOWS.
SNOWMELT IN THE LOGAN RIVER BASIN IS LIMITED TO A SMALL AREA NEAR
THE HIGHEST ELEVATIONS. AS SUCH...WE CAN EXPECT THE RIVER TO
CONTINUE TO DECLINE.

HOWEVER...AND THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT...THE RIVER WILL REMAIN AT
DANGEROUS LEVELS FOR THE FORESEEABLE FUTURE. AVOID AREAS ADJACENT TO
WATERWAYS THAT ARE FED BY HIGH ELEVATION SNOWMELT. THESE FAST AND
COLD WATERWAYS ARE DEADLY, AS A PERSON OR PET CAN DROWN IN LESS THAN
A MINUTE IF THEY FALL IN.
