SYNOPSIS

LACK OF CLOUDS ACROSS THE REGION AND LIGHT WINDS WILL
ALLOW FOR TEMPERATURES TO DROP INTO THE 30S ACROSS MUCH OF AREA THIS
MORNING. EXPECT TO SEE A BRIEF PERIOD OF FREEZING TEMPERATURES
AROUND SUNRISE ACROSS SOUTHWEST VIRGINIA, NORTHEAST TENNESSEE AND
THE NORTHERN CUMBERLAND PLATEAU. DESPITE NEARLY FULL SUNSHINE TODAY,
HIGH TEMPERATURES WILL REMAIN SEVERAL DEGREES BELOW NORMAL, TOPPING
OUT IN THE 60S IN MOST AREAS. HIGH PRESSURE WILL CONTINUE THROUGH
THE FIRST HALF OF THE WEEKEND, KEEPING DRY CONDITIONS AROUND ON
SATURDAY. HOWEVER, ANOTHER LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL BUILD EAST
THROUGH THE LOWER MISSISSIPPI VALLEY ON SUNDAY, BRINGING AN
INCREASING CHANCE OF RAIN AS THE DAY WEARS ON.
