THE MISSOURI BOOTHEEL...NORTH MISSISSIPPI...AND WEST TENNESSEE.

TODAY AND TONIGHT  
 
A FLASH FLOOD WATCH IS IN EFFECT FOR THE ENTIRE MIDSOUTH TODAY.  
HEAVY RAINFALL MAY LEAD TO BOTH RIVER AND FLASH FLOODING.  
 
THERE IS A CHANCE FOR SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS THIS AFTERNOON INTO THE  
EARLY EVENING HOURS FOR LOCATIONS ALONG AND SOUTH OF A CHARLESTON,  
MISSISSIPPI TO SAVANNAH, TENNESSEE LINE. PRIMARY THREAT IS  
DAMAGING WINDS. SECONDARY THREATS ARE BRIEF TORNADOES AND LARGE  
HAIL.
