NORTH CENTRAL PUSHMATAHA COUNTY IN SOUTHEASTERN OKLAHOMA...  
 
* UNTIL 845 AM CDT.  
 
* AT 606 AM CDT, DOPPLER RADAR AND AUTOMATED RAIN GAUGES INDICATED  
TRAINING SHOWERS AND EMBEDDED STORMS PRODUCING HEAVY RAIN ACROSS  
THE WARNED AREA. BETWEEN 2 AND 4.5 INCHES OF RAIN HAVE FALLEN PER  
OKLAHOMA MESONET GAUGE AT TALIHINA. FLASH FLOODING IS ONGOING OR  
EXPECTED TO BEGIN SHORTLY.  
 
HAZARD...FLASH FLOODING CAUSED BY THUNDERSTORMS.  
 
SOURCE...DOPPLER RADAR AND AUTOMATED GAUGES.  
 
IMPACT...FLOODING OF SMALL CREEKS AND STREAMS, URBAN AREAS,  
HIGHWAYS, STREETS AND UNDERPASSES AS WELL AS OTHER  
DRAINAGE AND LOW LYING AREAS.

ADDITIONAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 0.5 TO 1 INCH ARE POSSIBLE IN THE  
WARNED AREA. THE RAIN SHOULD BEGIN TO TAPER OFF OVER THE NEXT COUPLE  
OF HOURS.  
 
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...  
 
TURN AROUND, DON'T DROWN WHEN ENCOUNTERING FLOODED ROADS. MOST FLOOD  
DEATHS OCCUR IN VEHICLES.  
 
BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE  
DANGERS OF FLOODING.  
 
IN HILLY TERRAIN THERE ARE HUNDREDS OF LOW WATER CROSSINGS WHICH ARE  
POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS IN HEAVY RAIN. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CROSS FLOODED
