A CLEAR SKY WAS OBSERVED OVER THE TRI-STATE AREA AND MUCH OF THE  
CENTRAL PLAINS STATES EARLY THIS MORNING. 4 AM MDT (5 AM CDT)  
TEMPERATURES WERE 9 TO 18 DEGREES WARMER COMPARED TO 24 HOURS AGO  
RANGING FROM 37 DEGREES NORTH OF KIT CARSON COLORADO TO 52  
DEGREES NEAR TRENTON NEBRASKA.  
 
OUTLOOK... RECORD AND NEAR RECORD HIGH TEMPERATURES ARE POSSIBLE  
FOR SOME TODAY AS WE REACH THE LOW 80S TO NEAR 90 DEGREES. SOUTH  
WINDS WILL OCCASIONALLY GUST NEAR 25 MPH CAUSING AN INCREASED FIRE  
WEATHER THREAT. A COLD FRONT WILL MOVE THROUGH THE AREA ON SUNDAY  
PRODUCING SOME GUSTY NORTH WINDS. HIGH TEMPERATURES WILL RANGE  
FROM THE MID 60S IN YUMA COUNTY TO THE LOW 80S NEAR HILL CITY. A  
FEW SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE IN THE AFTERNOON  
AND EVENING AS A WEATHER DISTURBANCE MOVES THROUGH. FURTHER  
COOLING IS EXPECTED ON MONDAY WITH HIGH TEMPERATURES IN THE LOW  
50S TO MID 60S. A SMALL CHANCE FOR RAIN SHOWERS WILL EXIST IN THE  
MORNING NORTH OF THE INTERSTATE. LOOKING FURTHER AHEAD TOWARD MID  
WEEK EXPECT DRY CONDITIONS WITH HIGH TEMPERATURES REBOUNDING BACK  
INTO THE LOW TO MID 70S BY WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY.
