REGIONAL WEATHER SUMMARY FOR THE HIGH PLAINS  
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE GOODLAND KS

OVER THE PAST 24 HOURS, THE TRI STATE REGION HAS SEEN HIGHS RANGE  
FROM THE MID 30S INTO THE MID AND UPPER 40S. LOWS RANGED FROM THE  
MID TEENS TO THE MID 20S. THE AREA DID SEE FOG AND FREEZING FOG  
IMPACT THE ENTIRE REGION OVERNIGHT INTO THURSDAY MORNING. SOME  
FREEZING DRIZZLE WAS REPORTED.  
 
OUTLOOK... THE REGION WILL SEE ABOVE NORMAL TEMPERATURES AND DRY  
CONDITIONS TODAY, THROUGH THE UPCOMING WEEKEND INTO THE FIRST HALF  
OF MONDAY. BY THE AFTERNOON HOURS EACH DAY, ELEVATED TO NEAR  
CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS WILL CROP UP. THIS DRY AND WARM  
PERIOD WILL BE FOLLOWED BY A SURFACE LOW THAT WILL BRING COLDER  
TEMPERATURES, ALONG WITH RAIN, SNOW, BLOWING SNOW TO THE AREA  
STARTING LATE MONDAY AND GOING INTO WEDNESDAY. BY NEXT THURSDAY  
AND FRIDAY, COLD AND DRY.  
 
HIGHS TODAY AND SATURDAY IN THE 40S AND 50S WILL GIVE WAY TO 50S  
AND 60S FOR SUNDAY AND MONDAY. THIS WILL TREND DOWN TO 30S FOR  
THE LATTER PORTION OF NEXT WEEK. OVERNIGHT LOWS WILL HAVE MAINLY  
TEENS AND 20S THROUGH MONDAY NIGHT WITH SINGLE NUMBERS ABOVE ZERO  
THEREAFTER.
