...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 515 PM EDT FOR  
MIAMI-DADE COUNTY...  
 
AT 406 PM EDT, DOPPLER RADAR INDICATES THAT RAIN HAS MOSTLY ENDED  
ACROSS THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING AREA. HOWEVER, FLOODING CONTINUES  
ACROSS THE WARNING AREA. AS A RESULT, THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING  
REMAINS IN EFFECT.  
 
WITHIN THE PAST HOUR, FLOOD WATERS WERE APPROACHING THE BASES OF  
WAREHOUSES IN THE KENDALL AREA. FLOODING WAS BEING OBSERVED AROUND  
THE FLORIDA TURNPIKE IN THE VICINITY OF SOUTHWEST 120TH STREET.  
 
A TRAINED SPOTTER REPORTED THAT 7.7 INCHES OF RAIN HAD FALLEN IN THE  
KENDALL AREA. IN RICHMOND HEIGHTS, AROUND 5.5 INCHES OF RAIN HAVE  
BEEN REPORTED FROM AN AUTOMATED RAIN GAUGE. ELSEWHERE ACROSS THE  
WARNING AREA, 3 TO 5 INCHES OF RAIN HAVE BEEN REPORTED BASED ON  
AUTOMATED RAIN GAUGES.  
 
SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE...  
KENDALL, RICHMOND WEST, RICHMOND HEIGHTS, COUNTRY WALK AND WEST  
KENDALL.  
 
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...  
 
TURN AROUND, DON'T DROWN WHEN ENCOUNTERING FLOODED ROADS. MOST FLOOD  
DEATHS OCCUR IN VEHICLES.  
 
EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLOODING OF SMALL  
CREEKS AND STREAMS, URBAN AREAS, HIGHWAYS, STREETS AND UNDERPASSES AS  
WELL AS OTHER DRAINAGE AREAS AND LOW LYING SPOTS.
