THESE CHANGES ARE THE RESULT OF OBSERVED IMPACTS FROM RECENT HIGH
WATER EVENTS AND THE RE-EVALUATION OF OTHER, HIGHER, IMPACTS. BELOW
IS MORE INFORMATION ABOUT EACH CHANGE.

ACTION STAGE IS CHANGING AT EACH SITE TO BETTER REFLECT WHEN HIGH
RIVER LEVELS START TO BECOME A WIDESPREAD CONCERN, BUT NOT FLOODING
IN ANY SIGNIFICANT WAY.

AT BROWNVILLE, MINOR FLOOD STAGE IS BEING RAISED BY ONE FOOT. AT THE
CURRENT FLOOD STAGE LEVEL, 33 FEET, THE RIVER IS GENERALLY WITHIN
BANK. THEREFORE, BASED ON THIS INFORMATION AND SITE SURVEYS, A LEVEL
OF 34 FEET WILL BETTER REFLECT WHEN FLOODING BECOMES SIGNIFICANT.

AT RULO, MAJOR FLOOD STAGE IS CHANGING TO BETTER REFLECT WHEN MAJOR
FLOODING BEGINS. THIS LEVEL IS BEING SET TO WHEN THE BIG LAKE LEVEE
OVERTOPS.

PLEASE NOTE, THE CORPS OF ENGINEERS DOES NOT CONSIDER MISSOURI RIVER
FLOOD STAGES IN THEIR DECISION-MAKING REGARDING RELEASES FROM GAVINS
POINT DAM. RELEASES FROM GAVINS POINT DAM ARE BASED ON SERVICE LEVEL
AND DOWNSTREAM FLOOD CONTROL TARGETS, AS OUTLINED IN THE MASTER
MANUAL.
