..FLASH FLOOD WATCH IS CANCELLED
 
 
THE FLASH FLOOD WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF IOWA, SOUTHWEST MINNESOTA,  
NORTHEAST NEBRASKA, AND SOUTH DAKOTA HAS BEEN CANCELLED. |  
 
OVERNIGHT RAINFALL WAS EXCESSIVE, AS MUCH AS 3 TO 8 INCHES, IN A  
BAND FROM SOUTH CENTRAL SOUTH DAKOTA INTO SOUTHWEST MINNESOTA.  
RAINFALL HAS TAPERED OFF EARLY THIS MORNING, LIMITING THE THREAT  
FOR ANY ADDITIONAL FLASH FLOODING. HOWEVER, RUNOFF FROM FLOODING  
WILL REMAIN A PROBLEM IN MANY AREAS IN LOWER AND POOR DRAINAGE  
AREAS, AS WELL AS IN SMALLER CREEKS AND STREAMS. AREAL FLOOD  
WARNINGS CONTINUE MANY AREAS THROUGH MUCH OF THURSDAY.
