..PATCHY DENSE FOG THIS MORNING
 
 
PATCHY DENSE FOG CONTINUES ACROSS PARTS OF EASTERN IOWA AND  
NORTHWEST ILLINOIS NORTH OF INTERSTATE 80 THIS MORNING. THE FOG  
WILL BE DENSE IN A FEW SPOTS, REDUCING VISIBILITY DOWN TO A  
QUARTER MILE OR LESS, ESPECIALLY IN RIVER VALLEYS AND OTHER LOW  
LYING AREAS. THE PATCHY NATURE OF THE DENSE FOG WILL RESULT IN  
RAPID FLUCTUATIONS IN VISIBILITY OVER SHORT DISTANCES. A FEW SLICK  
SPOTS ARE ALSO POSSIBLE WITH TEMPERATURES BELOW FREEZING. IF  
TRAVELING BE PREPARED FOR SUDDEN CHANGES IN VISIBILITY. MOTORISTS  
ARE URGED TO SLOW DOWN, LEAVE PLENTY OF BRAKING DISTANCE, AND USE  
LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS.
