IN 1990, SNOW BEGAN FALLING IN THE TRI STATE AREA DURING THE EARLY  
MORNING HOURS AND CONTINUED FOR THE ENTIRE DAY AND INTO THE NEXT  
AFTERNOON. TWO DAY TOTALS RANGED FROM 6 INCHES NEAR NORTON KANSAS  
TO OVER A FOOT NEAR THE COLORADO AND KANSAS BORDER. GOODLAND  
REPORTED 10 INCHES OF SNOW, WHILE THE HIGHEST TOTALS WERE FOUND IN  
WRAY AND YUMA COLORADO WHERE 16 INCHES ACCUMULATED.  
 
IN 2011, A WINTER STORM PRODUCED LIGHT SNOW, FREEZING DRIZZLE AND LOW  
VISIBILITY, RESULTING IN NUMEROUS TRAFFIC ACCIDENTS THROUGHOUT THE  
 
TRI-STATE AREA.
