OZARKS AND EXTREME SOUTHEAST KANSAS.  
   
DAY ONE
 
TODAY AND TONIGHT.  
 
WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED...  
 
LIMITED LIGHTNING RISK.  
LIMITED EXCESSIVE HEAT RISK.  
 
DISCUSSION...  
 
TEMPERATURES WILL ONCE AGAIN SURGE INTO MID-80S TO LOWER 90S  
WITH HEAT INDICES IN THE UPPER 90S. ISOLATED SHOWERS AND STORMS  
ARE POSSIBLE LATER THIS AFTERNOON, BUT MOST LOCATIONS WILL STAY  
DRY.  
   
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN
 
FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY.  
 
A COLD FRONT WILL MOVE THROUGH THE REGION FRIDAY MORNING,  
BRINGING SCATTERED SHOWERS AND STORMS. ADDITIONAL RAIN IS  
POSSIBLE SATURDAY AND SUNDAY ALONG THE MISSOURI AND ARKANSAS  
STATE LINE, WHERE A WAVE OF TROPICAL MOISTURE WILL SLOWLY GLIDE  
ALONG THE STALLED-OUT COLD FRONT. A LIMITED FLOOD RISK HAS BEEN  
INTRODUCED FOR AREAS ALONG THE MISSOURI AND ARKANSAS STATE LINE.  
 
TEMPERATURES WILL COOL CONSIDERABLY BEHIND THE  
FRONT THIS WEEKEND AS DAILY HIGHS STAY NEAR OR BELOW 80 DEGREES  
THROUGH THE MIDDLE OF NEXT WEEK.
