AN UNUSUALLY STRONG AND PERSISTENT UPPER LEVEL HIGH PRESSURE RIDGE  
WILL BRING HOT TEMPERATURES TO THE MIDSOUTH THROUGH LATE THIS WEEK.  
HIGH TEMPERATURES WILL AVERAGE 10 TO 15 DEGREES ABOVE NORMAL FOR  
MID TO LATE SEPTEMBER.  
 
RAIN CHANCES WILL REMAIN LIMITED AREAWIDE THROUGH THURSDAY, WITH  
ONLY ISOLATED, SHORT-LIVED AFTERNOON SHOWERS OR THUNDERSTORMS.  
 
THE REMNANTS OF A TROPICAL LOW PRESSURE WILL LIFT FROM EAST TEXAS  
INTO THE OZARKS ON FRIDAY, BRINGING MODERATING TEMPERATURES AND AN  
INCREASE IN RAIN CHANCES TO EAST ARKANSAS. FURTHER EAST, THE  
PERSISTENT UPPER LEVEL RIDGE WILL CONTINUE TO SIGNIFICANTLY LIMIT  
RAIN CHANCES OVER NORTH MISSISSIPPI AND WEST TENNESSEE THROUGH THIS  
WEEKEND.
