THE FLASH FLOOD WATCH CONTINUES FOR  
 
* A PORTION OF NORTH CENTRAL MISSISSIPPI, INCLUDING THE  
FOLLOWING AREA CARROLL.  
 
* UNTIL 1 PM CDT THIS AFTERNOON  
 
* MURDOCK LAKE DAM SUFFERED A BREACH LATE FRIDAY NIGHT DUE TO  
RECENT HEAVY RAINS. THERE STILL IS POTENTIAL FOR THE DAM TO  
COMPLETELY FAIL AND RELEASE ENOUGH WATER DOWNSTREAM TO INUNDATE  
PORTIONS OF COUNTY ROAD 165. DAM SAFETY OFFICIALS ARE CURRENTLY  
ASSESSING THE SITUATION AND IT IS POSSIBLE THAT THE LAKE LEVELS  
ARE CURRENTLY LOW ENOUGH TO ALLOW THE WATCH TO EXPIRE AT 1PM.  
 
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...  
 
A FLASH FLOOD WATCH MEANS THAT CONDITIONS MAY DEVELOP THAT LEAD  
TO FLASH FLOODING. FLASH FLOODING IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.  
 
YOU SHOULD MONITOR LATER FORECASTS AND BE PREPARED TO TAKE ACTION
