...PERIODS OF HEAVY SNOW POSSIBLE OVER THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS ALONG
INTERSTATE 80 BETWEEN LARAMIE AND CHEYENNE THIS EVENING...

PRECIPITATION IS EXPECTED TO INCREASE IN COVERAGE AND INTENSITY
LATER THIS AFTERNOON, AND PERSIST THROUGH THE NIGHT. THE PRECISE
LOCATION OF THE HEAVIEST BANDS REMAINS UNCERTAIN. HOWEVER, SNOW
APPEARS LIKELY TO BE THE MAIN PRECIPITATION TYPE AT ELEVATIONS
ABOVE 7000 FEET. SEVERAL INCHES OF SNOW WILL BE POSSIBLE THROUGH
MIDNIGHT MDT IF ANY HEAVIER BANDS OF PRECIPITATION TRACK ACROSS
THESE AREAS. THOSE WITH TRAVEL PLANS OVER THE INTERSTATE 80 SUMMIT
SHOULD BE PREPARED FOR RAPIDLY CHANGING CONDITIONS, WITH LOW
VISIBILITIES AND POTENTIAL FOR SLICK ROAD CONDITIONS. REMEMBER, IN
ICE AND SNOW, TAKE IT SLOW.
