..AREAS OF FOG WILL AFFECT THE MORNING COMMUTE
 
 
AREAS OF FOG HAVE DEVELOPED ACROSS MUCH OF CENTRAL NEW YORK AND  
FAR NORTHEASTERN PENNSYLVANIA THIS MORNING, PARTICULARLY IN RIVER  
VALLEYS NEAR AND EAST OF THE I-81 CORRIDOR. VISIBILITY MAY DROP  
BELOW ONE QUARTER MILE AT TIMES IN A FEW PLACES.  
 
SOME ROADWAYS AFFECTED BY FOG INCLUDE THE NEW YORK THRUWAY AROUND  
UTICA AND UP TOWARDS ROME. ALSO ALONG I-88 NORTHEAST OF  
BINGHAMTON, AND TUCKED INTO NUMEROUS VALLEYS AROUND THE CATSKILLS  
AND POCONOS. DENSER FOG IS ALSO DEVELOPING ALONG THE CHENANGO AND  
SUSQUEHANNA VALLEYS AROUND THE GREATER BINGHAMTON AREA.  
 
REDUCE SPEED AND PLAN FOR SOME EXTRA TIME THIS MORNING IF YOU ARE  
COMMUTING IN THE AREA. THE FOG IS FAIRLY SHALLOW AND SHOULD LIFT  
AND DISSIPATE BETWEEN 8 AM AND 10 AM.
