DISCUSSION

WEDGE OF HIGH PRESSURE CENTERED OVER QUEBEC AND EXTENDING SOUTH INTO
NORTH CENTRAL NEW YORK THIS AFTERNOON WILL MAINTAIN DRY WEATHER
ACROSS CENTRAL NEW YORK INTO THE EASTERN LAKE ONTARIO REGION
TONIGHT. MEANWHILE, A WARM FRONT LYING OVER NORTHEAST OHIO WILL
SUPPORT A FEW SCATTERED SHOWERS ACROSS THE SOUTHERN TIER THIS
AFTERNOON AND EVENING. CONDITIONS WILL THEN DETERIORATE LATE
WEDNESDAY THROUGH THE END OF THE NEXT THE WEEK AND INTO THE WEEKEND
DUE TO A LARGE COMPLEX STORM SYSTEM CRAWLING ACROSS THE GREAT LAKES
INTO NEW ENGLAND. AFTER A SOAKING RAIN, WEDNESDAY NIGHT, A CHANCE OF
A MIX OF RAIN AND WET SNOW WILL LAST THROUGH THE WEEKEND. THE FIRST
ACCUMULATING SNOW OF THE SEASON (ESPECIALLY ACROSS THE HIGHER
TERRAIN) WILL BE POSSIBLE.
