KEY MESSAGE:

- RAIN IS ENDING AND FOG MAY BECOME DENSE IN AREAS OVERNIGHT.

THE MAIN UPPER-LEVEL TROUGH THAT BROUGHT COPIOUS AMOUNTS OF RAIN
TO THE REGION OVER THE PAST COUPLE DAYS IS NOW OVERHEAD AND MOVING
OFF TO THE EAST THIS AFTERNOON. SOME ADDITIONAL SHOWERS AND
STORMS ARE ONGOING ACROSS PORTIONS OF THE COASTAL BEND EARLY THIS
AFTERNOON, THOUGH THEY ARE MUCH MORE SCATTERED IN NATURE THAN WHAT
WE HAVE SEEN PREVIOUSLY. THERE IS LITTLE IN THE WAY OF ANY
ADDITIONAL FLOOD RISK WITH THESE STORMS BEFORE THEY MOVE OUT TO
SEA LATER THIS AFTERNOON. THEREFORE, THE FLOOD WATCH HAS BEEN
ALLOWED TO EXPIRE.

WITH THE AMPLE MOISTURE AND CLEARING SKIES OVERNIGHT, FOG WILL
DEVELOP ACROSS MUCH OF THE REGION AND MAY BE DENSE AT TIMES.
THERE IS NOT ENOUGH CONFIDENCE AT THIS TIME TO ISSUE A DENSE FOG
ADVISORY, BUT ONE MAY NEED TO BE CONSIDERED LATER ON.

TEMPERATURES WORK BACK UP QUICKLY SATURDAY WITH HIGHS IN THE 80S
FOR MOST LOCATIONS AND THE 90S OUT ACROSS BRUSH COUNTRY.

SOUTHWESTERLY FLOW ALOFT WILL DOMINATE THROUGH THE REST OF THE WORK
WEEK ACROSS SOUTH TEXAS AS A WIDE TROUGH DEVELOPS OVER THE WESTERN
CONUS, THAT WILL BE OUR FOCUS OF ATTENTION HEADING INTO NEXT WEEKEND.

HIGHS GENERALLY FROM THE 80S TO 90S WITH WEDNESDAY BEING THE HOTTEST
DAY AS TEMPERATURES NEAR 100 OVER THE RIO GRANDE PLAINS. LOWS WILL
GENERALLY RANGE FROM THE MID TO UPPER 60S WITH THE EXCEPTION OF
MONDAY NIGHT A FEW DEGREES COOLER WITH THE SOUTHWARD EXTENT OF THE
FRONT BRINGING SLIGHTLY DRIER AIR.
