DISCUSSION

ISSUED AT 222 AM CST TUE DEC 17 2024

THE CONTINUATION OF A TRANQUIL AND QUIET WEATHER PATTERN WILL PREVAIL
FOR SEVERAL DAYS. A DRY FROPA WILL MOVE ACROSS THE FA BETWEEN 15Z-20Z.
AS A RESULT, SLIGHTLY COOLER HIGHS AROUND 50F ARE EXPECTED ACROSS
THE NORTHERN ZONES. FARTHER SOUTH IN THE WARM SECTOR, UPPER 50S TO
LOWER 60S ARE EXPECTED ACROSS THE SOUTHERN ZONES. SOUTHERLY WINDS
WILL EVENTUALLY SWITCH FROM THE NORTHWEST AND NORTH AS THE FRONT
CLEARS THE AREA. WINDS WILL BE OCCASIONALLY BREEZY AT TIMES TODAY.
NOT EXPECTING ANY MAJOR FIRE WEATHER CONCERNS EVEN WITH THE STRONGER
WINDS AS AFTERNOON RELATIVE HUMIDITIES ARE EXPECTED TO REMAIN ON
THE MARGINAL SIDE. WE WILL SEE COOLER HIGHS TOMORROW IN THE WAKE
OF THE FRONT. REALLY NOT COLD BUT MORE HIGHS SHOVED CLOSER TO NORMAL.
EXPECTING A RANGE OF 40S EAST TO 50S WEST. FOR THE REST OF THE BUSINESS
WEEK, BOTH DETERMINISTIC AND ENSEMBLE DATA SUPPORT A DRY NORTHWEST
FLOW PATTERN ALOFT. THIS FAVORS A SERIES OF DRY WEAK FROPAS. HIGHS
WILL EBB AND FLOW AS THE AIRMASS IS PARTIALLY MODIFIED ACROSS THE
FA. THIS GENERALLY SUPPORTS NEAR TO ABOVE NORMAL HIGHS AND SEASONABLY
COOL LOWS.
