CHAMBER OF COMMERCE WEATHER IS ONGOING TODAY ACROSS SOUTH-CENTRAL  
TEXAS WITH SUNNY SKIES, LOW DEW POINTS, AND TEMPERATURES IN THE 60S.  
EXPECT A CLEAR AND SEASONAL NIGHT, WITH LOW TEMPERATURES FORECAST IN  
THE MID 30S ACROSS THE HILL COUNTRY TO LOW TO MID 40S MOST OTHER  
LOCATIONS. A WEAK COLD FRONT IS FORECAST TO BACKDOOR INTO THE REGION  
FROM THE NORTHEAST ON FRIDAY. THIS WILL PRODUCE AN INCREASE IN  
NORTHEAST WINDS ALONG AND EAST OF THE I-35 CORRIDOR BY MIDDAY AND RE-  
ENFORCE THE DRY AIR IN PLACE. COLDER CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED  
TOMORROW NIGHT ACROSS THE HILL COUNTRY, I-35 CORRIDOR, AND COASTAL  
PLAINS, WHERE LOW TEMPERATURES ARE FORECAST IN THE LOW TO MID 30S,  
AND A FEW DRAINAGE SPOTS IN THE HILL COUNTRY IN THE UPPER 20S.

- MOISTURE RETURNS WITH WARMER MORNINGS MONDAY AND TUESDAY.  
- ANOTHER STORM SYSTEM APPROACHES CHRISTMAS EVE, BRINGING THE THREAT  
FOR SHOWERS AND PERHAPS A STRONG THUNDERSTORM OR TWO TO EASTERN  
AREAS TUESDAY EVENING.  
- CONTINUED NEAR TO ABOVE NORMAL TEMPERATURES CHRISTMAS DAY AND  
BEYOND.  
 
A RATHER PROGRESSIVE LONG WAVE PATTERN WILL CONTINUE THROUGH THE LONG  
TERM PERIOD. ON SATURDAY, COOLER AIR WILL LINGER, WITH HIGHS IN THE  
LOWER TO MIDDLE 60S AND MAINLY SUNNY SKIES. WINDS WILL REMAIN LIGHT  
AND OUT OF THE EAST BEFORE SHIFTING TO A MORE SOUTHEASTERLY DIRECTION  
BY THE EVENING. THIS WILL SET THE STAGE FOR LOW-LEVEL MOISTURE TO  
RETURN BACK TO SOUTH-CENTRAL TEXAS, WITH MOSTLY CLOUDY MORNINGS  
MONDAY AND TUESDAY AND BREAKS IN THOSE CLOUDS BY AFTERNOON.  
 
OUR NEXT SHOT AT RAIN ARRIVES TUESDAY AS A QUICK MOVING DISTURBANCE  
OVER THE NORTHERN ROCKIES DIVES SOUTH INTO NORTH TEXAS TUESDAY  
MORNING. A SURFACE LOW WILL DEVELOP OVER THE RED RIVER VALLEY IN  
RESPONSE TO THIS UPPER-LEVEL DISTURBANCE TUESDAY AND SLIDE EASTWARD,  
SENDING A COLD FRONT IN OUR DIRECTION. SHOWERS AND STORMS ARE  
EXPECTED TO DEVELOP TUESDAY AFTERNOON AND EARLY EVENING ALONG THIS  
EAST- SOUTHEASTWARD ADVANCING COLD FRONT, SOME OF WHICH MAY BE ABLE  
TO TAP INTO SOME INSTABILITY AHEAD OF THE FRONT AND UPPER-LEVEL  
DYNAMICS AND BRING SOME GUSTY WINDS TO OUR AREA. THIS FRONT SHOULD  
BE THROUGH THE ENTIRE REGION BY CHRISTMAS MORNING, WITH TEMPERATURES  
IN THE LOWER TO MIDDLE 70S EXPECTED CHRISTMAS DAY.
