CENTRAL KANSAS ARE GENERALLY OUT OF THE WEST WITH TEMPERATURES IN
THE UPPER 20S TO UPPER 30S. SOME SNOW FLURRIES ARE POSSIBLE EARLY
THIS MORNING GENERALLY FROM GREELEY TO POLK COUNTIES. OTHERWISE, NO
PRECIPITATION IS EXPECTED THROUGH THE FORECAST PERIOD. THE UPPER
TROUGH WILL MOVE EASTWARD TODAY WITH WINDS OUT OF THE NORTHWEST.
HIGH TEMPERATURES TODAY ARE EXPECTED TO BE IN THE MID 40S TO MID
50S. WINDS WILL BECOME SOUTHERLY TONIGHT WITH LOW TEMPERATURES IN
THE 20S.

TUESDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY...

ANOTHER UPPER TROUGH WILL BEGIN TO MOVE OVER THE CENTRAL PLAINS ON
TUESDAY. A COLD FRONT ASSOCIATED WITH THIS TROUGH WILL BEGIN TO MOVE
INTO SOUTH CENTRAL AND CENTRAL NEBRASKA AND NORTH CENTRAL KANSAS ON
TUESDAY. HIGH TEMPERATURES ON TUESDAY ARE EXPECTED TO BE IN THE MID
40S TO MID 50S. THE FRONT WILL CONTINUE TO MOVE INTO THE AREA DURING
THE EVENING AND OVERNIGHT HOURS. THIS WILL RESULT IN TEMPERATURES
COOLING INTO THE MID TEENS TO MID 20S TUESDAY NIGHT. WINDS WILL
BECOME SOUTHERLY ON WEDNESDAY AS THE SURFACE HIGH MOVES JUST TO THE
EAST OF THE AREA. THE SURFACE HIGH WILL REMAIN CLOSE ENOUGH TO
RESULT IN HIGH TEMPERATURES IN THE MID 30S TO NEAR 50 DEGREES WITH
THE COLDEST TEMPERATURES IN THE EASTERN PART OF THE FORECAST AREA.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT THROUGH SUNDAY NIGHT...

A SURFACE TROUGH WILL BEGIN MOVING OVER THE NORTHERN AND CENTRAL
PLAINS WEDNESDAY NIGHT. WINDS WILL BEGIN TO BECOME MORE WESTERLY
WEDNESDAY NIGHT WITH A SURFACE LOW MOVING EASTWARD ALONG THE
NEBRASKA/SOUTH DAKOTA BORDER. LOW TEMPERATURES ARE EXPECTED TO BE IN
THE MID 20S TO AROUND 30 DEGREES. A COLD FRONT WILL BEGIN TO MOVE
INTO THE AREA ON THURSDAY AS THE UPPER LOW AND SURFACE TROUGH MOVE
EASTWARD. THIS FRONT WILL BE ACCOMPANIED BY GUSTY NORTHWEST WINDS.
HOWEVER, TEMPERATURES ON THURSDAY ARE EXPECTED TO WARM UP INTO THE
LOW 50S TO LOW 60S IN ADVANCE OF THE FRONT. A SURFACE HIGH WILL BE
ACROSS THE AREA THURSDAY NIGHT WITH LOW TEMPERATURES MOSTLY IN THE
TEENS. WINDS WILL BECOME SOUTHERLY FRIDAY AFTERNOON AS THE SURFACE
HIGH MOVES TO THE EAST OF THE AREA. HOWEVER, HIGH TEMPERATURES ON
FRIDAY ARE ONLY EXPECTED TO BE IN THE LOW 30S TO MID 40S WITH THE
SURFACE HIGH STILL HAVING AN IMPACT. LOW TEMPERATURES FRIDAY NIGHT
WILL BE SIMILAR OR SLIGHTLY WARMER THAN THE PREVIOUS NIGHT. A SLIGHT
WARM UP IS EXPECTED FOR SATURDAY BUT TEMPERATURES WILL ONLY WARM UP
INTO THE MID 30S TO UPPER 40S WITH THE SURFACE HIGH STILL NEARBY.
LOW TEMPERATURES SATURDAY NIGHT WILL ONLY BE ABOUT A DEGREE OR TWO
WARMER THAN THE PREVIOUS NIGHT WITH WINDS OUT OF THE SOUTH. WINDS
WILL INCREASE OUT OF THE SOUTH ON SUNDAY WITH TEMPERATURES WARMING
UP INTO THE LOW 40S TO LOW 50S. LOW TEMPERATURES SUNDAY NIGHT WILL
MOSTLY BE IN THE 20S.
