SHORT TERM

(TODAY THROUGH MONDAY NIGHT)
ISSUED AT 331 AM CST SUN DEC 15 2024

AREAS OF FOG ONGOING THIS MORNING, SOME LOCATIONS EXPERIENCING
VISIBILITIES OF 1 MILE OR LESS. USE EXTRA CAUTION IF TRAVELING
EARLY THIS MORNING AND REMEMBER TO USE LOW-BEAM HEADLIGHTS. FOG
WILL DIMINISH SHORTLY AFTER SUNRISE; HOWEVER, LOCATIONS CLOSER TO
THE BAY AND COASTLINE MAY SEE FOG LINGER THROUGH MUCH OF THE
MORNING.

ABOVE NORMAL TEMPERATURES CONTINUE TODAY WITH HIGHS GENERALLY IN THE
UPPER 70S. A FEW LOCATIONS WEST OF I-45 AND SOUTH OF I-10 COULD
TOUCH INTO THE LOW 80S TODAY. WITH THE MID-UPPER LEVEL RIDGE
APPROACHING SE TEXAS TODAY, RAIN CHANCES WILL BE MINIMAL. A FEW
LIGHT SHOWERS OR DRIZZLE MAY OCCUR AT TIMES TODAY DUE TO WEAK
ISENTROPIC ASCENT. MOSTLY CLOUDY SKIES WILL PREVAIL THIS MORNING
BECOMING MORE SCATTERED THIS AFTERNOON INTO THE EVENING. ANOTHER
ROUND OF FOG IS EXPECTED TO DEVELOP OVERNIGHT TONIGHT INTO MONDAY
MORNING. LOWS FOR TONIGHT WILL BE IN THE 60S AREA WIDE.

MONDAY WILL FEATURE ANOTHER DAY OF ABOVE NORMAL TEMPERATURES WITH
HIGHS SIMILAR TO SUNDAY'S HIGHS. LOW-LEVEL MOISTURE AND ISENTROPIC
LIFTING MAY CONTRIBUTE TO CONTINUED LIGHT SHOWERS FOR MONDAY. PVA IN
THE MID-LEVELS MAY ALLOW FOR EMBEDDED THUNDERSTORMS, PARTICULARLY IN
THE AFTERNOON HOURS WITH DAYTIME HEATING. LOWS ON MONDAY NIGHT WILL
BE IN THE 60S AREA WIDE.

LONG TERM

(TUESDAY THROUGH SATURDAY)
ISSUED AT 331 AM CST SUN DEC 15 2024

WARM, MUGGY CONDITIONS WILL CONTINUE INTO WEDNESDAY. MOISTURE
FLOWING INTO THE REGION AROUND THE PERIPHERY OF HIGH PRESSURE
OVER THE NORTHEAST WILL PROVIDE SOME ISOLATED SHOWERS AT TIMES,
BUT WITH NO SIGNIFICANT FOCUSING MECHINISM, AMOUNTS SHOULD BE
FAIRLY NEGLIGIBLE. CONFIDENCE IS HIGH WE'LL SEE OUR NEXT COLD
FRONTAL PASSAGE ON WEDNESDAY, THOUGH TIMING ISN'T EXACTLY CLEAR
CUT YET (DEPENDING ON YOUR MODEL OF CHOICE IT COULD BE MORNING,
AFTERNOON, OR NIGHT). WOULD ANTICIPATE SOME SHOWERS AND ISOLATED
STORMS ALONG THE BOUNDARY WITH BETTER CHANCES ACROSS THE NORTHERN
HALF OF THE CWA. A MORE SEASONABLE AIRMASS FILTERS IN BEHIND THE
FRONT FOR THE REST OF THE WORK WEEK FOLLOWED BY A REINFORCING
FRONT THIS WEEKEND. 47

LIGHT SOUTHEAST WINDS WILL PREVAIL INTO MID WEEK. OCCASIONAL
PERIODS OF FOG ARE A POSSIBILITY, ESPECIALLY IN THE BAYS, DURING
