THE AREAS AFFECTED INCLUDE...  
GALVESTON BAY...  
 
AT 102 AM CST, DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED STRONG THUNDERSTORMS, CAPABLE  
OF PRODUCING WINDS TO AROUND 30 KNOTS. THESE THUNDERSTORMS WERE  
LOCATED ALONG A LINE EXTENDING FROM ROUGHLY HARDIN TO THE WOODLANDS  
TO HEMPSTEAD, MOVING SOUTHEAST AT 20 KNOTS. THESE STORMS AND  
ASSOCIATED FRONT ARE EXPECTED TO PUSH THROUGH GALVESTON BAY BETWEEN  
3AM AND 5AM AND CONTINUE INTO THE GULF WATERS THEREAFTER. MARINERS  
SHOULD ANTICIPATE A WIND SHIFT TO THE NORTH AS THESE STORMS PUSH  
THROUGH AND EXPECT SOME REDUCED VISIBILITIES IN HEAVY DOWNPOURS.  
 
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...  
 
MARINERS CAN EXPECT GUSTY WINDS TO AROUND 30 KNOTS, LOCALLY HIGHER  
WAVES, AND LIGHTNING STRIKES. BOATERS SHOULD SEEK SAFE HARBOR  
IMMEDIATELY UNTIL THESE STORMS PASS.  
 
THESE THUNDERSTORMS WILL LIKELY PRODUCE WINDS TO AROUND 30 KNOTS,  
AND COULD POSE A SERIOUS HAZARD FOR BOATERS. A SPECIAL MARINE  
WARNING MAY EVENTUALLY BE REQUIRED WHEN THESE STRONG THUNDERSTORMS  
REACHES THE WATERS. BOATERS SHOULD CONSIDER HEADING FOR SHORE BEFORE  
THESE STORMS ARRIVE.
