A PROGRESSIVE WESTERLY FLOW REGIME CONTINUES ACROSS THE AREA WITH  
ANOTHER CLIPPER SYSTEM MOVING OVER THE NORTHERN PLAINS TODAY. THIS  
WILL DRIVE A COLD FRONT SOUTH OVER THE AREA LATE TODAY AND TONIGHT.  
AHEAD OF THIS FRONTAL BOUNDARY, BREEZY SOUTHERLY WINDS WILL DEVELOP  
AND ADVECT LOW LEVEL MOISTURE INTO SOUTHEAST KS WHERE STRATUS WILL  
BE COMMON AS WE MOVE INTO THE AFTERNOON HOURS, ESPECIALLY EAST OF  
THE FLINT HILLS. MILD TEMPERATURES ARE ANTICIPATED WITH HIGHS IN THE  
MID AND UPPER 50S.  
 
MORE SEASONABLE TEMPERATURES ARE EXPECTED ACROSS THE AREA ON  
WEDNESDAY AS HIGH PRESSURE SETTLES OVER THE AREA BRINGING LIGHT  
WINDS AS WE MOVE THROUGH THE DAY. AFTERNOON HIGHS ARE EXPECTED TO TOP  
OUT IN THE LOW TO MID 40S FOR MOST AREAS.  
 
THU-FRI...BREEZY SOUTHERLY WINDS WILL RETURN ON THURSDAY BEFORE  
ANOTHER PROGRESSIVE CLIPPER SYSTEM DIGS OVER THE NORTHERN PLAINS  
DRIVING ANOTHER COLD FRONT OVER THE AREA LATE IN THE PERIOD. PRIOR  
TO THE FROPA, ANOTHER MILD DAY IS EXPECTED WITH HIGHS CLIMBING INTO  
THE 50S. THE FRONT WILL USHER IN MORE SEASONABLE AIR AGAIN ON FRIDAY  
WITH HIGHS STRUGGLING TO CLIMB OUT OF THE 30S FOR SOME AREAS.  
 
SAT-MON...RISING HEIGHTS/INCREASING THICKNESS WILL SUPPORT  
MODERATING TEMPERATURES THROUGH THE PERIOD WITH HIGHS CLIMBING INTO  
THE 50S BY EARLY NEXT WEEK. WE COULD SEE A STORM SYSTEM IMPACT THE  
AREA BY EARLY NEXT WEEK BUT BETTER CHANCES FOR WETTING RAINS MAY  
REMAIN EAST OF THE AREA.

VFR CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED THROUGH MUCH OF THE PERIOD. LIGHT  
AND VARIABLE WILL PREVAIL THROUGH MID-MORNING TUESDAY. SOUTHERLY  
WINDS WILL INCREASE BY MID-MORNING TO 10-15 KT WITH GUSTS UP TO  
25 KT, ESPECIALLY ACROSS CENTRAL KS. MVFR CIGS ARE LIKELY  
ACROSS SOUTHEAST KS DURING THE AFTERNOON TUESDAY AND ARE  
EXPECTED TO IMPACT CNU FROM 19-00Z. FINALLY, A WEAK COLD FRONT  
WILL BEGIN TO SHIFT WINDS TO THE WEST DURING THE AFTERNOON AND  
EVENTUALLY THE NORTHWEST DURING THE EVENING WITH GUSTS UP TO 30  
KT POSSIBLE.
