SOME RADIATIONAL FOG COULD TRY TO DEVELOP LATE TONIGHT/THURSDAY
MORNING ACROSS PARTS OF SOUTHEAST KANSAS WHERE RESIDUAL LOW LEVEL
MOISTURE IS BEING PRESERVED BY SLOW ERODING LOW CLOUDS. WARMER AIR
WILL RETURN TO THE REGION ON THURSDAY.

OTHERWISE A FAIRLY QUIET AND MOSTLY DRY WEATHER PATTERN IS EXPECTED
FOR KANSAS OVER THE NEXT SEVERAL DAYS. A FLEET-FOOTED UPPER LEVEL
SYSTEM WILL MOVE ACROSS THE NORTHERN PLAINS FOR TONIGHT THROUGH
THURSDAY. THIS WILL CAUSE A POLAR AIRMASS TO SPREAD SOUTHWARD ACROSS
THE HEARTLAND THURSDAY NIGHT INTO FRIDAY IN THE WAKE OF THIS SYSTEM.
BELOW NORMAL DAYTIME HIGHS ARE EXPECTED FOR KANSAS ON FRIDAY
FOLLOWED BY A WARMER TEMPERATURES AS UPPER RIDGING QUICKLY BUILDS
OVER THE REGION FOR THE WEEKEND. MODELS SHOW NEXT UPPER LEVEL WAVE
MOVING ACROSS THE REGION ON MONDAY-TUESDAY WHICH LOOKS TO BRING
MOISTURE NORTHWARD ACROSS TEXAS AND OKLAHOMA. A FEW MODELS ARE
SHOWING THIS MOISTURE MAKING IT FAR ENOUGH TO THE NORTH TO GENERATE
SOME POSSIBLE RAIN SHOWERS MONDAY NIGHT-TUESDAY ACROSS SOUTHEAST
KANSAS. WARM ABOVE NORMAL TEMPERATURES EXPECTED TO CONTINUE FOR
SUNDAY THROUGH MID WEEK.

LOW MVFR TO HIGH IFR CLOUDS WILL GRADUALLY DISSIPATE FROM WEST
TO EAST THIS AFTERNOON ACROSS CENTRAL, SOUTH-CENTRAL, AND
SOUTHEAST KANSAS, AS HIGH PRESSURE BUILDS IN FROM THE NORTHWEST.
OTHERWISE, SOUTH-SOUTHWESTERLY LOW-LEVEL FLOW WILL BE ON THE
INCREASE OVERNIGHT, AS LOW PRESSURE DEEPENS OVER THE HIGH
PLAINS. A STRENGTHENING SOUTHWESTERLY LOW-LEVEL JET WILL SUPPORT
LOW-LEVEL WIND SHEAR WITHIN THE LOWEST 1500 FT AGL ACROSS
CENTRAL KANSAS OVERNIGHT. FURTHERMORE, THERE ARE SOME HINTS FOR
REDUCED VISIBILITIES IN FOG/BR FROM THE FLINT HILLS ON EAST
LATER TONIGHT INTO THURSDAY MORNING, BUT CONFIDENCE IS LOW SO
LEFT OUT OF THE 18Z ROUTINE TAFS.
