QUIET AND CHILLY CONDITIONS OVERSPREAD THE CENTRAL PLAINS TODAY  
FOLLOWING THE PASSAGE OF A COLD FRONT THROUGH THE REGION. AFTERNOON  
TEMPERATURES REACHED THE 30S AND 40S ACROSS NORTHERN OKLAHOMA AND  
ARKANSAS, WHILE HIGHS ONLY REACHED THE UPPER TEENS AND LOW 20S  
ACROSS EASTERN NEBRASKA AND SOUTH DAKOTA. A FEW HIGH CLOUDS AND  
LIGHT NORTHERLY WINDS WERE OBSERVED ACROSS THE EASTERN HALF OF  
KANSAS, WHILE THE WESTERN HALF OF THE SUNFLOWER STATE SAW GUSTY  
SOUTHERLY WINDS PICK UP THIS AFTERNOON.  
 
A CALM AND CHILLY NIGHT IS IN STORE FOR THE HEARTLAND TONIGHT WITH  
LOW TEMPERATURES EXPECTED TO DIP INTO THE TEENS AND 20S THROUGHOUT  
THE AREA. WINDS WILL BE LIGHT UNDER MOSTLY CLEAR SKIES.  
 
HIGHS FOR SATURDAY WILL RANGE FROM THE UPPER 30S AND LOWER 40S  
ACROSS EASTERN NEBRASKA AND KANSAS TO NEAR 60S ACROSS THE HIGH  
PLAINS. WINDS WILL BE RELATIVELY LIGHT ONCE AGAIN AND SKIES WILL  
REMAIN MOSTLY CALM.
