SYNOPSIS
 
 
DRY WEATHER SETTLES IN AREA WIDE THROUGH SATURDAY AS HIGH  
PRESSURE MOVES THROUGH THE GREAT LAKES REGION. THE NEXT CHANCE  
FOR RAIN WILL ARRIVE SATURDAY NIGHT INTO SUNDAY AS AN AREA OF  
LOW PRESSURE TRACKS THROUGH THE REGION. ABOVE NORMAL  
TEMPERATURES ARE EXPECTED FOR THE FORESEEABLE FUTURE.  
 

 
   
NEAR TERM /UNTIL 6 PM THIS EVENING/
 
 
AREAS OF FOG DISSIPATING BUT WAS MORE STUBBORN IN THE VALLEY  
AREAS. HIGH PRESSURE STILL DOMINATING THE MID OHIO VALLEY/LOWER  
GREAT LAKES, WITH ADVANCING SYSTEM FROM THE CENTRAL PLAINS  
LIKELY TO BRING IN HIGH AND MID CLOUDS TOWARD SUNSET TOWARD THE  
INDIANA/OHIO BORDER. OTHERWISE, DRY CONDITIONS UNDER NW FLOW  
WITH ABOVE NORMAL TEMPERATURES WITH HIGHS IN THE LOWER TO MID  
60S.  
 

 
   
SHORT TERM /6 PM THIS EVENING THROUGH 6 PM SATURDAY/
 
 
THE SFC HIGH PRESSURE DRIFTS TO THE E OF THE REGION TONIGHT INTO  
SATURDAY, ALLOWING FOR SFC FLOW TO BECOME MORE EASTERLY,  
PROVIDING A REINFORCING NUDGE OF DRY AIR BY SATURDAY AFTERNOON.  
FOR TONIGHT, ASIDE FROM SOME CIRRUS FROM TIME-TO-TIME, MOSTLY CLEAR  
CONDITIONS ARE ON TAP ONCE AGAIN. LOW TEMPS WILL RANGE FROM THE  
LOWER 40S IN THE TRI-STATE/N KY TO THE MID/UPPER 30S IN CENTRAL  
OH.  
 
CLOUD COVER WILL BE ON THE INCREASE SATURDAY AHEAD OF THE NEXT  
WEATHER-MAKER, WHICH WILL BEGIN TO IMPACT THE ILN FA BY SATURDAY  
NIGHT. HIGHS WILL RANGE FROM THE UPPER 50S IN THE N TO THE MID  
60S IN THE S, WITH CLOUD COVER EXPECTED TO OVERSPREAD THE AREA  
FROM SW TO NE BY LATE IN THE DAY.  
 

 
   
LONG TERM /SATURDAY NIGHT THROUGH THURSDAY/
 
 
A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL BE MOVING NORTHEAST OUT OF THE PLAINS  
TOWARDS THE GREAT LAKES ON SATURDAY NIGHT INTO SUNDAY MORNING. A  
WARM FRONT ASSOCIATED WITH THE LOW LIFTS THROUGH THE OHIO VALLEY  
DURING THIS TIMEFRAME BRINGING WIDESPREAD RAINFALL. STRONG WAA  
CONTINUES INTO THE DAY ON SUNDAY WHICH WILL LIKELY ALLOW DEW POINTS  
TO REACH UP NEAR 60 BY 3PM. ON SUNDAY EVENING, A COLD FRONT MOVES  
THROUGH THE OHIO VALLEY BRINGING AN END TO WIDESPREAD RAINFALL.  
 
HIGH PRESSURE TRIES TO BUILD IN FROM THE NORTH FOR MONDAY AND  
TUESDAY. DRY WEATHER AND COOLER TEMPERATURES RETURN. RAIN CHANCES  
INCREASE BY THE SECOND HALF OF THE WORK WEEK WHEN ANOTHER LOW IS  
FORECAST TO FORM NEAR THE GREAT LAKES.

HIGH PRESSURE WILL SLOWLY BUILD INTO THE REGION THROUGH TODAY.  
SOME CIRRUS WILL TRAVERSE THE OH VLY PERIODICALLY, BUT  
OTHERWISE MOSTLY CLEAR SKIES ARE EXPECTED TO PREVAIL THROUGH THE  
PERIOD. WINDS WILL BE LIGHT FROM THE NNW AT GENERALLY 5-7KTS OR  
LESS THROUGH 00Z BEFORE GOING MORE OUT OF THE NE PAST 06Z AT  
5KTS OR LESS.
