SYNOPSIS  
 
GRADUALLY INCREASING CLOUDS BUT STILL DRY WEATHER WILL DOMINATE  
THE FIRST PART OF THE WEEKEND AS HIGH PRESSURE PASSES THROUGH  
THE LOWER GREAT LAKES AND MID OHIO VALLEY. AN AREA OF LOW  
PRESSURE APPROACHING FROM THE CENTRAL PLAINS WILL BRING A CHANCE  
OF RAIN SATURDAY NIGHT WITH RAIN LIKELY ON SUNDAY. ABOVE NORMAL  
TEMPERATURES WILL CONTINUE WELL INTO THE WORK WEEK.  
 
 
   
NEAR TERM /UNTIL 6 PM THIS EVENING/  
 
HIGH THIN CIRRUS APPROACHING THE TRI STATE AREA, BUT OTHERWISE  
NORTHWEST FLOW SLOWLY PIVOTING TO MORE NORTHERLY AS THE SURFACE  
HIGH PRESSURE FROM THE NORTHERN PLAINS PROGRESSES INTO THE GREAT  
LAKES. MOSTLY SUNNY ELSEWHERE, WITH WINDS INCREASING TO GUSTS  
APPROACHING 20MPH MAINLY NORTH OF I-70 UNDER A SLIGHT PRESSURE  
GRADIENT. STILL EXPECTING ABOVE NORMAL TEMPERATURES WITH HIGHS  
IN THE LOWER TO MID 60S.  
 
 
   
SHORT TERM /6 PM THIS EVENING THROUGH 6 PM SATURDAY/  
 
THE SFC HIGH PRESSURE DRIFTS TO THE E OF THE REGION TONIGHT INTO  
SATURDAY, ALLOWING FOR SFC FLOW TO BECOME MORE EASTERLY,  
PROVIDING A REINFORCING NUDGE OF DRY AIR BY SATURDAY AFTERNOON.  
FOR TONIGHT, ASIDE FROM SOME CIRRUS FROM TIME-TO-TIME, MOSTLY CLEAR  
CONDITIONS ARE ON TAP ONCE AGAIN. LOW TEMPS WILL RANGE FROM THE  
LOWER 40S IN THE TRI-STATE/N KY TO THE MID/UPPER 30S IN CENTRAL  
OH.  
 
CLOUD COVER WILL BE ON THE INCREASE SATURDAY AHEAD OF THE NEXT  
WEATHER-MAKER, WHICH WILL BEGIN TO IMPACT THE ILN FA BY SATURDAY  
NIGHT. HIGHS WILL RANGE FROM THE UPPER 50S IN THE N TO THE MID  
60S IN THE S, WITH CLOUD COVER EXPECTED TO OVERSPREAD THE AREA  
FROM SW TO NE BY LATE IN THE DAY.  
 
 
   
LONG TERM /SATURDAY NIGHT THROUGH THURSDAY/  
 
A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL BE MOVING NORTHEAST OUT OF THE PLAINS  
TOWARDS THE GREAT LAKES ON SATURDAY NIGHT INTO SUNDAY MORNING. A  
WARM FRONT ASSOCIATED WITH THE LOW LIFTS THROUGH THE OHIO VALLEY  
DURING THIS TIMEFRAME BRINGING WIDESPREAD RAINFALL. STRONG WAA  
CONTINUES INTO THE DAY ON SUNDAY WHICH WILL LIKELY ALLOW DEW POINTS  
TO REACH UP NEAR 60 BY 3PM. ON SUNDAY EVENING, A COLD FRONT MOVES  
THROUGH THE OHIO VALLEY BRINGING AN END TO WIDESPREAD RAINFALL.  
 
HIGH PRESSURE TRIES TO BUILD IN FROM THE NORTH FOR MONDAY AND  
TUESDAY. DRY WEATHER AND COOLER TEMPERATURES RETURN. RAIN CHANCES  
INCREASE BY THE SECOND HALF OF THE WORK WEEK WHEN ANOTHER LOW IS  
FORECAST TO FORM NEAR THE GREAT LAKES.  
 
 
   
AVIATION /18Z FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY/  
 
HIGH PRESSURE BUILDING INTO THE AREA, WITH SCATTERED MOSTLY  
THIN CIRRUS. LIGHT WINDS WILL PIVOT FROM NW TO EASTERLY THROUGH  
THE FORECAST PERIOD. WITH A DAY OF SUN AND DRYING CONDITIONS,  
AND HIGH PRESSURE ABETTING A LITTLE LESS LOW LEVEL MOISTURE, NOT  
EXPECTING THE SOMEWHAT PERSISTENT BR AND FG THAT LINGERED AT  
KLUK/KILN AND KLCK THIS MORNING. WITH APPROACHING CLOUDS  
EXPECTED TO BE SCATTERED AND MOSTLY THIN BETWEEN 06-12Z, STILL  
SOME POTENTIAL FOR HIGHER LEVEL MVFR VISIBILITIES AT THE  
PREVIOUSLY MENTIONED LOCATIONS. OTHERWISE, VFR CONDITIONS  
EXPECTED THROUGH THE TAF PERIOD.
