WATER VAPOR IMAGERY HIGHLIGHTS A WEAKENING REX BLOCK ACROSS THE  
CONUS, FEATURING BROAD CYCLONIC FLOW ACROSS THE EASTERN U.S. AND  
A RIDGE-CUTOFF LOW COMPLEX OVER THE ROCKIES AND THE BAJA  
PENINSULA. THE DISTAL END OF A BROAD ATMOSPHERIC RIVER IS NEAR THE  
PACIFIC NORTHWEST. SURFACE OBSERVATIONS AND VISIBILE/INFRARED  
SATELLITE IMAGERY PLACE A PAIR OF SURFACE CYCLONES NEAR THE OHIO  
RIVER VALLEY AND EAST OF THE CAROLINAS. NEARLY UNINTERRUPTED  
CONTINENTAL-POLAR AIR CONTINUES TO SPREAD SOUTHEAST FROM THE  
NORTHERN PLAINS TO THE EASTERN GULF OF MEXICO. IN PAST COUPLE OF  
HOURS, NORTHWEST WINDS AT THE REEF INCREASED TO 15 TO 20 KNOTS AS  
THE FIRST OF A PAIR OF WEAK COLD FRONTS CLEARED THE KEYS. SKIES  
ARE NOW MOSTLY SUNNY AND THE KBYX RADAR IS ECHO FREE. THE FORECAST  
CALLS FOR HIGHS IN THE MID 70S AND NIL RAIN CHANCES. DEWPOINTS  
WILL FALL ABOUT 15 DEGREES IN THE NEXT 24-HOURS, WITH OVERNIGHT  
LOWS FALLING INTO THE UPPER 50S FOR SOME LOCATIONS. NO CHANGES ARE  
NEEDED WITH THIS UPDATE.

SMALL CRAFT SHOULD EXERCISE CAUTION FOR NORTHWEST TO NORTH WINDS  
15 TO 20 KNOTS. SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY MAY BE REQUIRED TONIGHT AS  
WINDS INCREASE TO NEARLY 20 KNOTS. FROM SYNOPSIS, MODERATE TO  
FRESH NORTHWEST TO NORTH BREEZES WILL PREVAIL ACROSS THE COASTAL  
WATERS OF THE FLORIDA KEYS TODAY AND TONIGHT. STRONG HIGH PRESSURE  
WILL BUILD ACROSS THE EASTERN UNITED STATES SATURDAY THROUGH  
SUNDAY, RESULTING IN A STRENGTHENING PRESSURE GRADIENT. THIS WILL  
PROMOTE FRESHENING NORTHEAST TO EAST BREEZES PERSISTING INTO EARLY  
NEXT WEEK.

SATELLITE TRENDS SHOWING EROSION OF THE BACK SIDE OF THE LOW CLOUD  
FIELD AS IT CROSSES THE ISLAND CHAIN. MTH WILL REMAIN IN VFR THROUGH  
THE PERIOD. WINDS WILL REMAIN FROM THE NORTH TO NORTHWEST THROUGH
