WATER VAPOR IMAGERY EARLY THIS AFTERNOON SHOWS A QUICK-MOVING UPPER  
SHORTWAVE TROUGHING PIVOTING SOUTHEASTWARD OVER SE CO, WITH THIS  
FEATURE PROGGED TO REACH THE ARKLATEX REGION BY WEDNESDAY MORNING.  
AT THE SURFACE, ROBUST SOUTHWESTERLY FLOW CONTINUES OVER OUR AREA  
AHEAD OF A COLD FRONT ENTERING THE OK PANHANDLE AT 19Z. SATELLITE  
ALSO SHOWS AN EXPANDING AREA OF LOW/MID LEVEL CLOUD COVER OVER THE  
BIG COUNTRY WHICH MAY CLIP THE SOUTHEASTERN ROLLING PLAINS THROUGH  
THIS EVENING AS A MODEST LOW LEVEL MOISTURE SURGE CONTINUES AHEAD OF  
THE FRONT. DESPITE THIS, A DRY FRONTAL PASSAGE IS EXPECTED LATER  
THIS EVENING WITH THE COLD FRONT PROGGED TO PASS THROUGH THE ENTIRE  
AREA BY MIDNIGHT. BREEZY POST-FRONTAL NORTH WINDS WILL CONTINUE FROM  
LATE TONIGHT THROUGH WEDNESDAY MORNING, AND HAVE CONTINUED TO FAVOR  
STRONGER MOS WINDS WITH SURFACE PRESSURE RISES ON THE ORDER OF 4-6  
MB IN 3 HOURS, BUT WINDS WILL REMAIN WELL BELOW ADVISORY LEVELS.  
HIGHS ON WEDNESDAY WILL BE MUCH COOLER THAN TODAY, BUT WILL STILL BE  
AROUND NORMAL FOR THIS TIME OF YEAR (LOW TO MID 50S) WITH A LACK OF  
ANY PARTICULARLY COLD AIR UPSTREAM. WINDS ARE THEN EXPECTED TO  
WEAKEN FAIRLY QUICKLY ON WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON AS SURFACE RIDGING  
SETTLES OVERHEAD, WITH LARGELY CALM WINDS EXPECTED BY SUNSET.

NORTHWESTERLY FLOW WILL CONTINUE THROUGH THE THE WEEKEND AND INTO  
NEXT WEEK WITH A SERIES OF SHORTWAVES TRAVERSING THE CONUS. DESPITE  
A SERIES OF WEAK COLD FRONTS THROUGH THE END OF THE WEEKEND AND INTO  
THE WEEKEND, TEMPERATURES WILL REMAIN ABOVE NORMAL AND MILD IN THE  
60S. NO PRECIPITATION IS EXPECTED THROUGH THE EXTENDED WITH A LACK  
OF MOISTURE IN THE OVERALL PATTERN.
