THE GUADALUPE, DELAWARE, CHINATI, AND DAVIS MOUNTAINS. WIND  
ADVISORIES ARE IN EFFECT FROM THIS MORNING THROUGH THIS  
EVENING FOR MUCH OF THE REMAINING AREA.  
 
- A COLD FRONT MOVES THROUGH THE AREA TUESDAY MORNING BRINGING  
MUCH COLDER AIR FOR THE MIDDLE OF THE WEEK.

A LINE OF THUNDERSTORMS CONTINUES TO MOVE TO THE EAST AND WILL EXIT  
THE AREA WITHIN THE NEXT HOUR OR TWO. MANY AREAS FROM SOUTHEAST NEW  
MEXICO TO MUCH OF THE PERMIAN BASIN RECEIVED AMOUNTS FROM A HALF  
INCH TO 3+ INCHES OF RAIN THIS EVENING. SHOWERS WILL TAPER OFF OVER  
THE NEXT FEW HOURS AS DRIER AIR BEGINS TO PUSH IN FROM THE WEST.  
WINDS HAVE ALREADY BEGUN TO RAMP UP OVER THE WESTERN HALF OF THE CWA  
AND WILL CONTINUE TO INCREASE INTO THE DAY TODAY. A HIGH WIND  
WARNING REMAINS FOR THE GUADALUPE, DAVIS, AND CHINATI MOUNTAINS. FOR  
THE ADJACENT PLAINS AND LOWER ELEVATION AREAS, A WIND ADVISORY WILL  
BE IN EFFECT FROM THIS MORNING THROUGH EARLY THIS EVENING. AREAS OF  
BLOWING OR LOFTED DUST WILL STILL BE SEEN DESPITE THE RAIN MANY  
LOCATIONS RECEIVED, ESPECIALLY OVER SOUTHWESTERN PORTIONS OF THE  
CWA.  
 
DRIER AND COOLER AIR, ALONG WITH LIGHTER WINDS, BRING LOWS INTO  
THE 40S FOR MOST. A COLD FRONT MOVES THROUGH TUESDAY MORNING AND  
WILL LIMIT HIGHS FOR MANY TO THE 60S WITH UPPER 50S FOR PARTS OF  
SOUTHEAST NEW MEXICO AND THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS.

DIPPING INTO THE UPPER 20S. AFTER A DAY OF BELOW NORMAL TEMPERATURES  
ON WEDNESDAY, A GRADUAL WARM UP OCCURS THROUGH THE END OF THE WEEK  
AND INTO NEXT WEEKEND WITH HIGHS REACHING INTO THE 70S BY SATURDAY.  
PRECIPITATION IS NOT EXPECTED DURING THE EXTENDED.
