UNSEASONABLY WARM CONDITIONS PERSIST ACROSS THE AREA, WITH TEMPS IN  
THE MID TO UPPER 50S AS OF 2 AM. MEANWHILE, POCKETS OF LIGHT RAIN  
CONTINUES TO MOVE TO THE EAST NORTHEAST ACROSS PORTIONS OF CENTRAL  
MISSISSIPPI AND CENTRAL ALABAMA, IN RESPONSE TO AN UPPER LEVEL SHORT  
WAVE MOVING INTO THE OHIO AND TN VALLEYS. THIS ACTIVITY IS EXPECTED  
TO REMAIN NORTH OF THE AREA, GIVEN LESS FORCING THIS FAR SOUTH.  
ZONAL FLOW WILL PERSIST THROUGH THE DAY, WITH SOUTHERLY FLOW AT THE  
SURFACE. THIS WILL KEEP MILD CONDITIONS ACROSS THE AREA, WITH HIGHS  
WARMING INTO THE UPPER 60S TO LOWER 70S. WEAK RIDGING WILL BUILD  
EASTWARD TONIGHT, WITH ITS AXIS PUSHING EAST OF THE AREA DURING THE  
DAY MONDAY. GIVEN THE RIDGE AND SOUTHERLY SURFACE FLOW, TEMPERATURES  
WILL REMAIN ABOVE NORMAL THROUGH THE FIRST PART OF THE NEW WORK  
WEEK, WITH LOWS IN THE 50S AND HIGHS IN THE 70S. /73

BROAD SOUTHWESTERLY FLOW WILL PERSIST THROUGH TUESDAY THROUGH  
THURSDAY AS OUR NEXT SYSTEM MOVES ACROSS THE AREA. SHORTWAVE  
RIDGING WILL BE IN PLACE ON TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY LEADING TO  
OVERALL DRY CONDITIONS ACROSS THE AREA. RAIN RETURNS LATE  
WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON INTO WEDNESDAY NIGHT AS A FAST MOVING  
SHORTWAVE TROUGH QUICKLY PROGRESSES ACROSS THE OHIO RIVER VALLEY  
ON THURSDAY. A SURFACE COLD FRONT WILL QUICKLY SURGE SOUTHWARD AS  
THE UPPER TROUGH MOVES EAST. WITH THE TROUGH BEING RATHER STRUNG  
OUT AND POSITIVELY TILTED, OVERALL FORCING WILL BE WEAK AND REALLY  
ONLY EXPECT RAIN TO BE CONFINED TO THE FRONTAL PASSAGE SOMETIME  
LATE WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON INTO WEDNESDAY NIGHT. GIVEN THE SEVERAL  
DAYS OF ABOVE NORMAL TEMPERATURES, SOME INSTABILITY SHOULD EXIST  
FOR AT LEAST THE POTENTIAL FOR A ISOLATED RUMBLE OF THUNDER OR  
TWO. BEHIND THE TROUGH, NORTHWESTERLY WINDS SHOULD DEVELOP  
USHERING YET ANOTHER COOL AND DRY PERIOD AS WE APPROACH THE
