LONG TERM

(TUESDAY NIGHT THROUGH NEXT MONDAY)
ISSUED AT 138 PM CST MON NOV 18 2024

A MUCH MORE BENIGN PATTERN IS LOOKING TO SET UP ACROSS THE WEST
CENTRAL TEXAS AREA FOR THE REST OF THE WEEK. THE ONLY FEATURE OF
NOTE WILL BE A COLD FRONT THAT MOVES THROUGH THE AREA LATE TUESDAY
INTO WEDNESDAY. AS A STRONG UPPER LOW MOVES ACROSS THE NORTHERN
PLAINS, A COLD FRONT EXTENDING SOUTH AND WEST FROM THE CORRESPONDING
SURFACE LOW WILL DROP SOUTH INTO OUR AREA, LIKELY MOVING THROUGH
DURING THE OVERNIGHT HOURS INTO WEDNESDAY. WE'RE NOT EXPECTING ANY
PRECIPITATION WITH THE FRONT AS THIS FRONT WILL BE USHERING IN AN
EVEN DRIER AIRMASS BEHIND IT. HIGH TEMPERATURES WEDNESDAY WILL TAKE
A BIT OF A HIT AND SHOULD ONLY BE IN THE LOW TO MID 60S FOR MUCH OF
THE AREA. OVERNIGHT LOWS WEDNESDAY NIGHT INTO THURSDAY WILL BE A
TOUCH COOLER IN SOME LOCATIONS BUT SHOULD GENERALLY BE COMPARABLE TO
TUESDAY NIGHT IN THE MID 30S TO LOW 40S. LOWS FOR THIS DAY MAY NEED
TO BE ADJUSTED DOWNWARD IN FUTURE UPDATES TO ACCOUNT FOR POTENTIALLY
GOOD RADIATIONAL COOLING CONDITIONS OVERNIGHT. OVERALL, TEMPERATURES
ARE EXPECTED TO GRADUALLY WARM INTO THE WEEKEND WITH HIGHS RETURNING
BACK TO NEAR OR SLIGHTLY ABOVE NORMAL IN THE MID 60S TO LOWER 70S BY
FRIDAY AND POTENTIALLY EVEN THE MID 70S TO LOW 80S BY SUNDAY. LOWS
WILL ALSO START ON AN UPWARD TREND BACK INTO THE 40S AND 50S BY THIS
WEEKEND. WITH UPPER LEVEL RIDGING AND/OR ZONAL FLOW TO CONTINUE
THROUGH EARLY NEXT WEEK, THE FORECAST FOR THE FORESEEABLE FUTURE
SHOULD REMAIN DRY ACROSS THE AREA.
