DISCUSSION
THE AIRMASS WILL BEGIN A GRADUAL DRYING TREND TODAY.
EVEN SO, EXPECT SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS TO DEVELOP
NEAR AND OVER THE BURN SITE THROUGH THIS EVENING, ALTHOUGH CHANCE
OF WETTING RAIN WILL BE LOWER COMPARED TO YESTERDAY. THAT SAID,
SOME OF THE STRONGER STORMS WILL BE CAPABLE OF PRODUCING BRIEF
MODERATE TO HEAVY RAIN. TEMPERATURES TODAY WILL REMAIN COOLER
THAN NORMAL FOR THIS TIME OF YEAR. MEANWHILE, HUMIDITIES WILL
REMAIN ELEVATED, HELPING TO MODERATE FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS.
SOME ENHANCED SOUTH WINDS MAY BE NOTED EARLY THIS MORNING OWING TO
AN AREA OF SHOWERS TO THE SOUTH, OTHERWISE WINDS WILL LIKELY
REMAIN GENERALLY LIGHT THROUGH THE DAY. WINDS WILL CONTINUE TO BE
ERRATIC NEAR SHOWERS, AND MAY BE STRONG NEAR SOME OF THE MORE
INTENSE STORMS, BUT STRONG GUSTS OVER 40 MPH SHOULD NOT BE A
SIGNIFICANT THREAT TODAY. COVERAGE AND WETTING RAIN POTENTIAL OF
STORMS WILL DECREASE TOMORROW, WITH THIS TREND THEN CONTINUING
INTO THE WEEKEND. WINDS WILL CONTINUE TO REMAIN ON THE LIGHTER
SIDE, ALTHOUGH AFTERNOON WINDS TOMORROW WILL BE MORE NORTHERLY
COMPARED TO MORE SOUTHWESTERLY TODAY.
